With our 6-Pack Class Sampler, we invite you to sample our classes and get to know our instructors.  And if you don't know where to start, let us know and we'll help you find the right class(es).

Prana Yoga Center Yoga Styles

  • Hatha Yoga is an alignment-based practice that focuses on properly setting up the postures to challenge yourself to really deepen your practice. Yoga props (chairs, blocks and straps) are used to facilitate learning.
  • Forrest Yoga is a hot and sweaty practice which gets you connecting to your core - getting strong and centered. We use heat, deep breathing and vigorous sequences to sweat out toxins while the long holds in the pose progressions help you flush, oxygenate and rejuvenate every cell.
  • Iyengar Yoga is a hatha yoga style which focuses on alignment and precision in each posture.
  • Vinyasa Flow Yoga moves dynamically in a sequence of postures and include Sun Salutations, long holds of postures to play the edge and refine the principles of alignment in each pose. Classes will include strong standing postures, forward folds, apex backbends, laterals, extensions, twists, and inversions in each practice.
  • Yoga Sculpt is a total-body workout designed to define every major muscle group by combining light weights with traditional yoga postures. This intense but easy-to-follow class is the perfect complement to your regular yoga practice
  • Yin Yoga works with the long, somewhat passive, holding of "Yin" postures, which generally target the areas between the knees and the navel (hips, spine, and pelvis). For most of us, these areas hold tremendous amounts of stress, both physical and emotional. By holding these postures for longer periods (3-5 minutes), we're able to work much more deeply than the musculature, getting into the connective tissue (fascia). When the fascia is bound up, that prevents the joints from moving freely within their full range of motion.
  • Gentle or Restorative Yoga is a practice for everyone. gentle and Restorative yoga is designed to relax and renew your body and spirit. The sequence of this class leads you back to your center through postures and body/mind awareness, using your breath as a guide. Each class offers a combination of gentle yoga, pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation. This balanced combination of physical movement, breath regulation, and mental stillness will leave you feeling calm, peace-full, vibrant and joyful.
