FUNDAMENTALS If you’re trying yoga for the first time or you still
feel quite new to yoga, please begin with our Fundamentals of Yoga series. The
series moves slowly, provides ample time for questions, and lets you safely try
out poses so you get familiar with your body’s specific gifts and limitations, how
your breathing works with your practice, and generally what feels right in your
body.
- No yoga experience required.
- Class offerings include Fundamentals of Yoga I,& Yin Yoga
LEVEL 1 If you have some yoga experience, returning to yoga after some time away from
your practice, working with an injury, or need to reconnect with the roots
of yoga, this is the place to practice. Level 1 classes focus on the basics of
alignment and body awareness. Classes tend to move more slowly, and you’ll have
plenty of time to explore and experience the fundamental principles of
essential poses like forward folds, backbends, twists, and standing poses.
- Everyone is welcome in Level 1 classes. Some yoga
experience is helpful.
- Level 1 classes include: Vinyasa Flow 1, Hatha Yoga 1-2, Gentle Hatha
Yoga, Fundamentals of Yoga II, Sunrise Yoga, & Yin Yoga.
LEVEL 1-2 Put your yoga experience to work for your body. Level
1-2 classes help you build stamina through a warming sequence of sun
salutations and standing poses. Vinyasa—linking your movement to your breath—sequences
are creatively mixed with beginning inversions, deeper twists, and poses that
develop greater flexibility (such as lotus pose).
- Yoga experience highly recommended.
- Level 1-2 classes include: Vinyasa 1-2, Hot Forrest Yoga, Hatha Yoga 1-2, Sunrise Yoga, YogaSculpt
LEVEL 2-3 Intended for practitioners with about 1-3 years of consistent practice/experience and a working understanding of the language and fundamentals of yoga. Level
2-3 classes guide you deeper into practice, physically, emotionally, and
spiritually. Instructors show various levels of poses—what to do if you’re just
learning the pose, how to do the basic form of the pose, how to take it up a
notch—to accommodate varying levels of strength and flexibility. This level is
right for you when you are truly able to discern when you can move deeper and
when you need to ease off a pose.
- Yoga experience
required.
- Level 2-3 classes include: Hot Forrest Yoga, Yin
Yoga, Vinyasa Flow 2-3, YogaSculpt
ALL LEVELS Instructors will offer modifications, adjustments, and assistance as needed, while keeping the class moving at its normal pace.
- Yoga experience strongly recommended.
- All levels classes include: Hot Forrest Yoga, Yin Yoga, Sunrise Yoga, Yoga Sculpt, Vinyasa 1
