Yoga has a vast array of tools, models and methods available for our use. With a firm understanding of these techniques and how to use them appropriately, you can transform your life. This complete Yoga study program is everything one would gain from a formal training program, yet the emphasis of this program is on the understanding and applications of the more subtle and transformative aspects of Yoga rather than the more typical, physical components of other programs. It is designed for committed students of yoga who wish to truly understand Yoga but who intend to use the knowledge and experience to deepen their practice and tap into the transformational power of yoga, rather than to teach. The course has been designed in such a way that the information begins at the gross level, gradually deepening to more refined subtle teachings. Class consists of Asana practice followed by lecture and discussion. Reading material, comprehension questions, reflective journaling, creative projects and small group gatherings access multiple levels of learning to enhance assimilation of the teachings as well as build a community support system for you as you move through your changes. The goal of this program is to educate you on the various tools of Yoga that create healthier patterns for more joyful living. By offering not just knowledge but first-hand, practical experience of these techniques, wisdom of their appropriate use is discernable and accessible to all sincere students including beginners.
