Yoga
Therapy for Healing
Research has shown yoga to be an effective complementary
therapy for reducing stress, the root cause of many common diseases. Yoga
Therapy adapts your physical practice into treatment that is specific to your
body and to your health and wellness concerns. This form of healing yoga
combines asana, breath, and meditation into a practice that is grounded in a
personal intention for healing.
The symptoms of stress, back pain, arthritis, hypertension,
asthma, depression, anxiety disorders, insomnia, cancers, addictions, and more
may be lessened through an intentional, personalized practice of yoga for
healing. Physically, mentally, and emotionally, a yoga practitioner will guide
you in a practice that brings ease back into your life, opening you up to
greater joy.
Our yoga for healing offering begins with a $150
three-session treatment:
- Session One includes
an overview of yoga therapy as it applies to your unique health issue, a review
of your goals, a health history, an assessment of your range of movement, breathing patterns, ayurvedic dosha testing, and time for
questions. (45 minutes)
- Session Two is
dedicated to learning your personal yoga practice, designed to support your health
and wellness goals. (1 hour)
- Session Three
assesses the effectiveness of your personal practice and makes adjustments for
improvements in your condition and shifts in your goals. (45 minutes)
Follow-up sessions are scheduled as needed, and range in
price from $50 to $75.
