Chrissa values the genuine, supportive environment at Prana—both as a teacher and a student. It’s a space where connection is felt and where every student can find what they need.


  • Chrissa didn’t always see yoga as something she needed.

    Like many, she believed that cardio and strength training were enough—until her body began asking for something different.

    Once she started practicing, she quickly realized what yoga offered: a balance of strength and ease that she hadn’t experienced before.

    That balance is what keeps her coming back—and what shapes her teaching today.

    Her classes are highly personable and grounded in education. She loves helping students understand the “why” behind what they’re doing, because that understanding builds deeper commitment and connection.

    There’s also a sense of exploration in her classes.

    She creates space for students to try new approaches, use a variety of props, and engage with movement in a way that feels both creative and supportive.

    Off the mat, she values connection just as much—taking time before and after class to build relationships with students and create a welcoming, comfortable environment.

    Additionally, Chrissa holds 15 other fitness certifications in strength, pilates, barre, and more disciplines.

    Notably, she is a music teacher at the middle schools in Geneva and holds an undergraduate degree in music education and two MA degrees.
