Why Prana

“Prana is a community deeply committed to traditional yoga practice, while allowing teachers the freedom to teach and share what inspires them.”

Jessica values the strong, knowledgeable teaching at Prana alongside a welcoming environment where each student is supported and the practice can be adapted to meet individual needs.

  • Jessica’s introduction to yoga came early—at a local park district class her mom brought her to.

What she felt afterward stayed with her.

For the first time, she experienced a sense of grounding and embodiment that sparked a deep curiosity. That curiosity has never really left.

She’s been a student of yoga ever since.

Her teaching reflects both her clinical background and her love of the practice. As an occupational therapist, she brings a deep understanding of how the body functions, while also honoring the more subtle aspects of yoga.

Her classes are intentionally designed to feel both accessible and meaningful. Jessica enjoys creating themed classes that help students connect yoga philosophy to their own lives in ways that feel accessible and digestible within a 60-minute practice.

You’ll be guided through alignment-based movement with clear direction and a strong emphasis on breath, while also being invited to reflect and connect the practice to your own life. It’s a physically engaging experience with thoughtful modifications throughout.

Even in a full room, her goal is that each student feels seen—and that they are part of a community. Anatomy and alignment are important, but connecting with your own body's wisdom and experiencing that with a community is life changing!

And while the work is intentional, it’s never too serious.

She’ll happily laugh at herself regularly throughout class—and invites you to come laugh too as we all stumble through this life.
